Configurable Unified Search Interface
[Abk. CUSI, dt. »konfigurierbare vereinheitlichte Suchschnittstelle«], eine Eingabemaske, von der aus eine große Zahl von Suchmaschinen auf standardisierte Weise angesprochen werden kann, wobei der/die Nutzer/-in selbst die Suchoptionen
einstellen kann. Dabei werden nacheinander verschiedene Suchkategorien wie »Allgemeine Suchmaschinen«, »Personen«, »Wörterbücher« u. Ä. angeboten.
CUSI wurde 1993 bei der Firma Nexor entwickelt und wird heute von East Midlands
Network Ltd. (EMNET) betrieben.
